Update from Nathalie Richard

Got a quick update from Nathalie Richard about their roll yesterday...

"It was in first gear.  We just clipped the curb and flipped up on the side, into the air, and pancaked the roof onto the tarmac. We're ok. It's been on ESPN all night...it made the top ten plays of the day! Hyundai stepped up to the plate and found everything we need (including the labour) to try to make the Hyundai pretty again."

Qualifying Pairings Announced for X Games

The head-to-head pairings have been announced for the X Games Rally.  Last years winners - Pastrana, Block, and McRae - all get a bye into the quarter-finals, along with current Rally America Championship leader Andrew Pinker .  The following teams will have to battle for the remaining spots.

Friday X Games Update

L'Estage Roll

It was another exciting day at the Home Depot Center, with Ramana Lagemann making a triumphant return in a battered but repaired DSG Mitsubishi EVO.  The local body shops will be kept busy, however, as Antoine L'Estage rolled his Hyundai Tiburon and will need to go for extensive repairs.  Contrary to earlier reports, the car will be ready for Sunday competition.

On The Fly: L'Estage Rolls, Ramana to Return

Quick Updates from the Home Depot Center:

Ramana Lagemman was slated to return to practice today with a banged out and repaired EVO after his roll in jump practice earlier this week.

Another casualty to add to the list of damaged cars is Antoine L'Estage.  We are getting first reports in that he rolled in practice today, and there may be possible cage damage.  More confirmation and news on that as we get it.

I had the chance to sit down with Andrew Pinker (AP) and Andrew Comrie-Picard (ACP) after practice today at the 2007 X Games for some insight on wine, great hair, and X Games Rally.

FOC: What quality would you like to have, that the other has?
AP: I wish, I had ACP’s taste for red wine.
ACP: I would like to be able to be exceptionnaly cool under pressure.
