L'Estage Claims 40-second Lead After SS11

The Lower and Middle Old Hastings stages proved to be extremely slippery this afternoon for the National competitors, with hard ice under a thin layer of snow. The first pass of cars polished the snow away, and created skating rinks for braking zones. With many blind crests, off-camber turns, and big jumps, a committed driver could gain a lot of time.

Frank and Antoine Share Lead, ACP Out

The slick roads at the 2007 Rally of the Tall Pines are catching up with some of the drivers, while others are thriving in the conditions. Frank Sprongl, a veteran in these conditions is now in the lead, with Antoine just behind!

Antoine Going Steady, ACP, Block, Down and Out

At the first service of the rally, two cars were obviously absent. The EVO of Andrew Comrie-Picard, and the Subaru of Ken Block were nowhere to be seen, while the other cars in the field filed into service.

Slippery Snowy Roads

The Friday night shakedown has wrapped up in Bancroft, the final opportunity for teams to get their cars in order before the start of the rally tomorrow morning. Road conditions have slowly changed over the course of the day, a good indicator of what could happen during tomorrow’s action.

Mitsubishi Announces Lucrative 3-Year Rally Support Program

Mitsubishi has confirmed today a long-term and lucrative "rally support program" for the Canadian Rally Championship that encourages amateur participation in the sport.  Featuring a travel fund, prize purse, subsidized entry fees, and other incentives, the program is geared towards all levels of privateer Mitsubishi teams from Open Class through Production. The program also includes the same support for the Targa Newfoundland rally, held each September.
